Coaches
Head Football Coach Mike Parent |
Mike has a career total of 25 years coaching experience, all with Westford Academy. He coached the WA Freshman football team in 1982 and 1983. In 1984, he became the WA Assistant Coach. He remained in this position until 1995. In 1996, he he replaced the legendary John Morris, who retired to watch his son play football at Chelmsford High School, and Mike enters his 11th season as Head Coach. In addition to his football coaching experience, he also coached the WA Varsity Softball team from 1983 to 1999.
Married for 22 years, Mike has two children, David (14), a freshman at Dracut High,and Mikaela (12), a seventh grader at the Dracut Junior High. He enjoys vacations with his family as well as sports and reading.

Football Coach Shaun Hart |
Shaun has a career total 9 years coaching football experience his last 4 years being with Westford Academy. Prior to WA, Shaun coached in the Middlesex league with Winchester High School. Shaun coaches both the defensive backs and the running backs. He is also employed at Westford Academy as a Health / Wellness Instructor.
Shaun was born in Lawrence, MA and raised in the Merrimack Valley. He graduated from Salem State College with a Bachelors of Education. He has gone on to receive his M.ED in Educational Leadership at Cambridge College. Married to his wife April for 8 years, Shaun has 2 children, Nolan (5) and Summer (2). Shaun resides in Lowell. Shaun is a Physical Education Teacher at WA and also the Head Girls Lacrosse coach. In his spare time he likes playing softball and being with his kids.

Defensive Coordinator: LB's/ TE's Jim Kastritis |
Jim has a career total of 33 years football coaching experience with his last 6 years with Westford Academy. Prior to WA, he coached for Tewksbury Memorial High School for 8 years; Chelmsford High School for 8 years; University of Lowell for 6 years; Dean College for 2 years; Littleton High School for 2 years; and Bishop Guertin for 1 year.
Jim was born in San Diego, CA and raised in Rhode Island. He is a graduate of American International College (1974). Married to his wife, Beth, for 34 years, Jim has two daughters, Kate (28, married) and Julie (24). Jim and his family have lived in Chelmsford for 29 years. He is also a Social Studies teacher at Westford Academy. In his spare time, he enjoys reading and fishing.

Freshman Coach John Morris |
John has career total of 39 years coaching experience, all with Westford Academy. John was Head Coach of the Super Bowl Champions in 1985, 1986, and 1993. In addition to his 39 years of WA football coaching, he has also coached WA Wrestling, WA Boys & Girls Track, and WA Freshman Girls Basketball.
John is a graduate of Springfield College. He and his wife, Brenda, live in Chelmsford and have a son named Christopher. John recently retired after 39 years of being a Physical Education Teacher at Westford Academy.

Freshman Coach Sean O' Leary |
Sean enters his first year as the Grey Ghost Freshman coach. Employed as a Health / Wellness teacher at WA, Sean is a graduate of Andover High School and Bridgewater State College. He played for four years for Coach Collins at AHS (1989-93), was captain of the 1993 team, spent 1 year at the University of Nebraska at Kearny (1994), and 1 year at Bridgewater State College (1995).
Sean enjoys outdoor activities (fishing, hiking, etc.) and currently resides in Shirley, MA.

Offensive and Defensive Line Coach Paul Harhen |
Paul enters his 4th season as Westford's offensive and defensive line coach. He was a former Head Coach of Littleton High, and defensive coordinator of Ayer High. Paul played football at WA from 1977-1980. He is employed as a Social Studies teacher at WA, and is also the Varsity Basketball Coach.
Paul resides in Westford and enjoys traveling during his free time. Paul's daughter Lorraine (14) is a freshman at WA.
